This is where I love to sit and have my devotions or just sit and relax. Right under the tree. Which by the way I have an update on that. As we were sitting there having dinner the other night my hubby remarked, "I'm glad I didn't chop this tree down it is a really nice shade tree" :) Guess it's staying!
Plus I get to watch the birdies from here and they are building there nests and chirping away. God has blessed me.

Summer decoration on my dough table
I am getting some summer decorating done on the inside. There are not many flowers out in my garden yet, but I did have the flowers from my coral bells and cranesbill geraniums. They look so delicate in my wire flower container. I have some faux cookies that I had just gotten from Rose petals and Rust. They are so beautiful, I put them in one of my decorative jars. I think I need to order some pink ones now :)
I have some gorgeous tags that I found on etsy in the tall jar. They have bluebirds and roses on them. my two favorites. All on my ruffled table runner and under that my vintage dough table that I use as my island.
I added another nest tag on the top of the tall jar, it is in aqua and so pretty.

Chalkboard Welcome Basket
I wanted to add something different to the porch screen door this year. I knew I wanted to do a basket but it was boring to me just hanging there with flowers. Then one day while I had some chalkboard paint in my hand working on another project, I thought to myself hmmm why not? So I added a little of the chalkboard paint (have I mentioned if I have spray paint in my hand look out, I go a little crazy) to the front of the basket and then tied some vintage lace around the basket.
I like it for now anyway :)

Old Window Redo
This is actually something I did a few years ago. My hubby had bought me some roses and I hated to just throw them away after they were done blooming, sometimes they come few and far between :).
So I dried them and dug out one of my old windows from my stash. I painted it white, and then found some old paneling for the back and painted that white too. I then Hot glued the roses on the backing and then some spanish moss along the bottom for more texture. And then my hubby screwed the back on the window and put a hanger on it for me. He is so good :)
It still looked a little plain to me so I added a piece of old lace I had, did I mention I am obsessed with old lace, seriously its bad! Then I thought it needed a little bling (don't we all) so I put a dragonfly on it that had some pretty stones on it.
So far we have made each of our girls one and they love them for their homes too. Fun to do if you have an old window sitting around and someone to buy you roses.

? Tree
My hubby brought me in a beautiful bouquet of flowering branches yesterday. We have no idea what kind of tree it is but I love it and my husband hates it. Our son in law had cut down one of these for my husband when we first moved in (while I was away). And so I am sticking to my guns about keeping this one. :)
The tree in question, isn't it pretty when it is flowering. We know it is not a crab apple tree. But from there it is any ones guess.
