A DIY project

I had seen these letters at Michaels that I just loved but had no idea what to do with them.  You know how you go home and are trying to figure out a project lol.  I knew I wanted to do some sort of a sign, but what kind and what colors.  

My new motto is if I buy, repurpose or take something out of my storage I have to get rid of something else.  I just have too small of a house to have too much in.  I don't want it to look cluttered.
Anyhow this is what I came up with and I found a vertical space to put it. 

I chose the word home because it means so much to us after the last year and a half.  

               Some more Spring Changes

I am adding some aqua and soft pinks to my decor for Spring and Summer.  I have had some aqua mason jars in different sizes so I am adding them in here and there.

                          

 I had this little birdy put away for the winter.  So he came out to roost again.

                    Adding some Spring to my Home

Here in Michigan we had a big snowstorm during the week and this weekend it is supposed to be near 50, hopefully it melts most of the snow.

So I am going to try and make the inside of my home Springy, if that's a word, I received some fresh flowers and are putting them around the home.  I like to take a large bouquet and divide it up into smaller ones around the house.

I put some moss rocks I bought at Michaels to help with the Spring theme.  I am praying the weather starts to turn Springy :)

Today I thought I would show you some of my Valentine decor, I love hearts they are fun to decorate with. 

 I changed my mantle up after the holidays.

I treated myself with some flowers.

These were some ornaments on sale 75% off after Christmas, .50 each score!

I have had this heart forever I just love it!

My thrift store find.  I have not been to a Goodwill in forever, sometimes I need to go just to go treasure hunting.  The Lord blessed me with this grey pitcher.  It is perfect for my kitchen and at $1.99 it made it a real treasure.  Hope if you go treasure hunting this week you find treasures for you! 

I thought I would give you a little Christmas tour of my home.  We have had so much fun decorating this year.  We wanted to get it done early and then enjoy quiet times to reflect on all our blessings and the reason for the season.  We are so thankful to the Lord for all he has done.   I was able to get some projects done this year.  I had a diy weekend, I must have needed to vent and that is how it came out.  And most of the projects actually turned out and I'm loving them.  I won't mention the ones that didn't lol.

I like my snowflake pillows, they literally cost me five dollars total to make.  I purchased the felt on 70% off and bought the snowflakes at the dollar store.  They seem to pop on the sofa.

Ornament Tree

Hi today I am sharing my ornament tree I made.  I seen some of these on Pinterest and just loved each one.  I didn't have a pallet like all the ones I seen.  But I didn't know if I wanted one that big anyway being as I have a small home.  I just took three slats of wood I had leftover from another project and nailed them together from the back.

Then I drew my rectangle on the wood and started just gluing the ornamnts on.  It is kind of like a puzzle you just keep gluing and moving the different sizes and colors around.

This is before I found what I wanted for the trunk.

 And after I figured out what I was going to use.  Just some bark paper with a little glitter on it.

I just love this it's so pretty the photos do not do it justice.
