Ok I tried my hand at making A pumpkin chandy, I painted some regular dollar store pumpkins that were way too orangey for me.
I put a leaf garland around the chandy. I wanted to show off the pumpkins a little more. I then put a sunflower down inside the middle.
I like it, but I think I am going to add a little bluish green color to the pumpkins. What do you think? More color or not?

I have decided to jump into my fall decorating. It is still so hot and humid outside I haven't done a lot out there.
But inside I have been decorating quite a bit, at least that is what my husband thinks, not really though I have kept it tamed down more this year than in past years. At least for now :)
Here is my mantle this year:
I love these flickering candles that are battery operated. I bought this one as it is at Hobby Lobby. I thought next time i'll make my own designs with glue on a plane candle and put the glitter over it.
I used cream colored mums and some cream colored paper lantern flowers in with the reds and browns this year.
I put my glass acorns on the mantle this year. I found these in the Christmas section of HL a few years ago.

Here are some pics of the laundry room/pantry. Unfortunately I had to combine two uses for this room.
Behind the curtains is where I hide the laundry soap and bleach etc...
And we put a shelf here to hold my jars of flour sugar etc... I made a curtain below to hide the trash container, (sounds like I do a lot of hiding things here).
I made a chalkboard out of a vintage frame to write the things down we run out of.
Hope you like it!! I have my grandbabies this week so no more posting for me this week, time to make memories :)

The Last Of My Summer Garden
I thought I would share pics of my summer garden. Fall is fast approaching, where did the time go?
My porch decorated for Summer.
Wrens live in this house. I love watching the mama feed her babies. :)
A stepladder I bought from a friend, she had cut a hole in the top for a plant.
Soon I'll be decorating for Fall!

Vintage trunk into coffee table
My Vintage Trunk into a Coffee Table
I TOOK AN OLD SPINDLE THAT WAS ON AN OLD TABLE WE HAD TAKEN APART AND MY HUBBY CUT IT UP INTO FOUR PIECES FOR THE LEGS.
HE THEN SCREWED THEM IN FROM THE INSIDE OF THE TRUNK.
I PAINTED IT A CREAMY WHITE AND JUST LOVE IT!!!
PLUS I LOVE THE ADDED BENEFIT OF STORAGE.

View of everything put together in the living room
This redo of the living room was on a very strict budget. But I kind of like that, it makes it more of a challenge. And I do love a challenge :)
I made the pillows with fabric from Hobby Lobby using a 40% off coupon.
I shopped my house for accessories and it was around my B-Day so some things were gifts.
The drapes are from Hobby LObby 50% off and I knew I was using the cream damask sheers with them. So I cut two drapes in half and hemmed and I got 4 for the price of 2. :)
